About J&A Roofing

J&A Roofing is honored to be celebrating its 80th year of service in 2018. Founder Jake was an Eastern European immigrant who came to the US searching for the American dream. Originally settling in Brooklyn. Father Jake and Brother Al started J&A painting and general contracting in 1938.

While sons Joe (a naval aviator in the pacific theater) and Al (an Army veteran of the battle of the bulge) were fighting for our freedom Jake continued to run the company.

When returning home Joe & Al decided to head north to the Hudson Valley. Operating as J&A Roofing and Siding Company. J&A had offices on 544 Main St. in Poughkeepsie, 394 Hasbrouck Ave. in Kingston, and a satellite office in Hudson.
Al retired in the late 1970’s and J&A Roofing, Siding, and Insulation Company was run by Joe and his wife Ann.

In the early 90’s Joe & Ann retired to Florida during the winter months and son Ian took the reins. He centrally located all operations into a new Kingston location where today we continue to operate from today as J&A Roofing Company, Inc.
With the 4th and newly added 5th generation of the J&A Family all working under one roof. We continue to uphold the work ethic and integrity that our parents, grandparents, great grandparents, and great-great grandparents began in Brooklyn on 246 Varet St. in 1938.

J&A Roofing is a full service roofing contractor serving the Hudson Valley area of New York. We service Ulster County New York, Dutchess County New York, Greene County New York, and Columbia County New York.

Most roofs will fit into one of three categories: shingle roofing, metal roofing, or flat roofing.
